To really get into the Christmas atmosphere, I always sing Christmas Carols. From "Jingle Bells" to "O come all ye faithfull", I love them all. Or - to adapt a quote - I haven't met a Christmas Carol I didn't like. But - for me - the most beautiful one is "Silent Night". Singing that in church on Christmas Eve, the church-lights dimmed, candles glowing, is the most perfect moment of all. I sometimes can't even sing because of the lump in my throat. Just pause what you're doing and take some moments to think of it..., all over the world, in so many countries and so many languages that song is sung on the same night. There will be a delay because of the time difference, but the whole world is one, by just one song! Clicking the musicbar will take you to the Silent Night Museum. Another one of my Christmas favorites is "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. The first time I read it, I was still in school. It was on the "must read" list for my English Class. The teacher was hoping we'd appreciate the wonderful literature - but I must admit, no luck at that time *smiles* When I found the book a few years later, I started to read it for the second time. But now of my own free will - which probably helped. I loved it! And I've been reading it many times since, preferably around Christmas. If you've read the book you'll know what I mean.
